I love discovering new wines! Sometimes it’s a wine made from a grape that’s barely known outside of its own region, even though it may have been grown there for centuries. It may be from an area whose wines are reaching America for the first time, or made by a winemaker who is doing something different. The best (and most interesting) of these I bring to you every month as my Discovery Wines. These are wines that I delight in sharing with my friends.

Store Reviews — When one of our favorite French suppliers Nico said “you have to try this wine I love it” we figured hmmmm sales pitch….. Well, it was indeed DELICIOUS! Robert Skalli is a man who really works with enthusiasm and great believer in quality. From the South of France, Languedoc this Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby red in color, with a nose of cedar, black currant and blueberries. Medium bodied, on the palate savory flavors of ripe fruits and vanilla finishing off with elegant soft tannins. Enjoy this delightful red with rack of lamb with rosemary garnish, roasted duck, Gorgonzola sliders with all the fixings or if you’re a chocolate lover. (esp. bitter sweet chocolate) Cheers!
